Mission and Goals

Our mission is to support girls' education in a highly impoverished and historically disadvantaged corner of rural South Africa and facilitate our scholars' path toward greater economic and social opportunities as young women.

•  Keep more top performing girls in school from grades 5 to 12

•  Motivate and reward high achievement 

•  Celebrate girls' academic success and support peer bonds

•  Help girls set and achieve goals and improve their life prospects 

 •  Support tertiary or vocational education for program graduates 

 •  Create role models for younger girls in the community

•  Engage families to value and prioritize girls' education

•   Raise girls' status in a community with a highly patriarchal tradition

•  Raise awareness of the many lifelong benefits of girls'  education
